Conference Venue
The University of Manchester
The University of Manchester is the largest and most diverse conference location in the North West, with the majority of venues stretching from the city centre to the leafy outskirts of Fallowfield.
Facilities include tiered theatres seating up to 1000, flat-floored meeting rooms for 4 to 675, high quality audio-visual equipment, imaginative menus, exhibition space, over 4,500 bedrooms in four types of accommodation and two dedicated year round conference centres.
University Place
A major addition to the University’s conference facilities, University Place houses the largest dedicated lecture theatre in the Greater Manchester region. It is an ideal venue for large national and international conferences and high profile events, and boasts a large number of flexible, flat-floored rooms for discussion groups.
It has been fitted out with the most up to date audio-visual aids and there is a highly qualified technical support team on site who can also advise on WiFi and wired internet access around the building.
There is also a shop and Visitor’s Centre on site which is proving to be a useful facility for conferences. Located at the centre of the campus, it is no more than a 5 minute walk from any of the other teaching buildings or the majestic Whitworth Hall and equally impressive Manchester Museum.
